END SARS Poem: Prophets of brutality - Anoruo Immaculata Oluchi

 PROPHETS OF BRUTALITY

Is it a crime to be a Nigerian?

Is it a crime to be a Nigerian?

I ask with cooked rage again!

What has become of my dear country?

In our land you brutalize us

You turn us to slaves

You make us cry for what we know not

Because of the uniform you adorn

You assumed "ALGEA"

And you never cared

Because your human is Dead!

Like ants unison we hit the street

'Cause of our litany of tortures

You caused us

Yet, you sprayed us bullets

Peace you'll not know

The flag, yes the flag

Our blood painted with it

Innocent blood spilled

Spilled on the street of Lekki

Spilled on the street of Aba

Spilled on the street of Abuja

Spilled on the street of Nigeria

My dear country is soaked with blood

Our wrath you'll see!

I'll not cease yet

Until the prophets of brutality are doom!
